A cast copper alloy seal matrix dating to the Medieval period. The object is lozenge shaped in plan. The central motif depicts the Madonna crowned with the Christ child on her left knee. To the left of the figures is a moon and to the right a star. The legend reads starMAT DEI MEMENTO MEI which can be translated as 'Mother of God remember me'.

On the reverse is a central rib with a perforated lug at the top of the seal. The object has a smooth dark green patina and is in good condition.
