STIRRUP

Unique ID: SUR-CD0EB7

Object type certainty: Probably
Workflow status: Published Find published

A triangular stirrup-strap mount. The surface is largely worn away but there remain slight traces of a zoomorphic design consisting of an entwined beast with tendrils, in the Urnes style, sufficient to make the Type and sub-type identification certain. The upper fixing hole is missing and there are two domed iron rivets surviving in the two lower holes.
