A worn copper-alloy Bronze Age awl, measuring 59mm in length, 7mm in width at its widest point and 5.2mm thick. It is roughly oval in cross-section. One end of this awl tapers to a point and the other is chisel shaped, but incomplete due to wear and an old break. Small patches of pale green bronze disease/active corrosion can be seen on both faces of the awl. Bronze Age awls of this date have been found at Freckenham, Westerfield and Hitcham, Suffolk, and Fordham, Cambridgeshire.
