Roman silver TOT finger ring, 20mm in diameter, 21mm wide and 3mm thick (at loop). The object is in good condition and weighs 4.27grams. The ring has a sub rectangular bezel which forms half of its total surface. It consists of a circular raised bezel inscribed with O. This sits on a 'diamond' shaped platform which curves downwards and whose points merge into the loop. The inside of this area is covered with small incisions. Above and below the circle the object narrows and has a W shaped edge. It has incised scrolls on each side, above and below the main decoration. beyond this point it narrows to form the loop which is rectangular in section
The ring fits Henig class VIII, closest parallels are one example from Leicestershire D6B504 and two examples from Lincs, DENO-DDB0E7 and LCNCC: 2004.230
