A copper alloy leg from a small cast copper alloy cooking vessel, like a cauldron or possibly a ewer. The vessel leg has a roughly circular cross section, with a flat but angled top where it attached to the bottom or side of vessel bowl, and an angles foot; when standing, the leg would have risen c. 30mm to the vessel. Cast copper alloy cooking vessels were in use for a long time, and this example dates from between c. AD 1350 and c.1600.
