A worn cast copper-alloy double-looped strap loop or slide of probable Roman date. It is rectangular in form with single rectangular loops at either end. Between the loops is a raised central, vertical rectangular moulding that has a central rectangular panel with grooves to either side. The entire object is worn with a mid green patina and some corrosion in places. It measures 16.07mm in height, 21.94mm in width, 5.49mm in thickness and 4.58g in weight.
This is a strap slide, loop or distributor of uncertain date. Its appearance and findspot suggest a Roman date for the object, c.43-410 AD.
