Silver gilt

Cufflink fragment. A cast bifurcated shank retaining a pivoting bar or rove serving as the concealed fastening element of a cufflink. The bar bears the stamped legend: 9 CT GOLD ON SILVER; the gilding is peeling away from the bar. Suggested date: Modern, 1900-1950.

Length: 20.5mm, Width (bar): 19mm, Thickness (bar and housing): 6.9mm, Weight: 2.54gms.
