A copper alloy Roman nummus of Constantius II (AD 323-361). Trier mint. Obverse depicts a laureate bust facing right; legend reads: [CONSTAN]TIVS AVG. GLORIA EXERCITUS reverse type with two soldiers each holding a spear at the outside and resting on shield inside, with one standard in middle; legend reads: GLOR-[IA EXERCITVS]. Reece period 17. Cf. RIC VIII, p143, No. 70, minted before April AD 340.
