An incomplete cast copper alloy harness pendant dating to the Medieval period. The object is cross-shaped in plan with concave internal corners and two notches in the end of each arm, making them trilobate or pseudo fleuretty. The front of the object is worn and corroded. There is no visible decoration. The rear of the object is plain. A hole is punched in the centre of the object from front to back. The hole contains a circular sectioned copper alloy rivet which is bent at a right angle at the rear of the object and tapers to a flattened point. The rivet is secured by a sub-oval washer. At the top of the object is a tapering sub-rectangular strip of copper alloy which is bent backwards creating an integral suspension loop. It terminates with a break. The object has a mid brownish green patina and is in poor condition.
A similar example which can be found on the database is SWYOR-24CB23. Other forms of harness pendants can be found in Saunders, (1991), p24-27.
