A fragment of a ceramic vessel; the upper part of a jug handle from a Late Medieval or Post Medieval vessel. The fabric is fairly hard and is bright orange. It is fine textured with occasional very small inclusions of rounded white particles and rounded black lumps. A thick glossy orange brown glaze survives on the inside of the vessel, but on the outside only the purple under layers of the glaze are present.
