A fragment of a handmade ceramic vessel of middle to late Iron Age date (500 BC - 100 AD). The fragment is a body sherd from a probable jar or bowl with a hard abraded reduced fabric of a dark brownish-black colour with a buff exterior. Frequent large low sphericity hard quartzite inclusions are present as temper in the clay.
The fragment is 90.4mm long, 68.1mm wide, 11.9mm thick and weighs 84g.
