A body sherd from a handmade vessel with dark grey/black fabric containing sandy and quartz inclusions and with black surfaces. It measures 27.29mm in length, 31.78mm in width, 9.20mm in thickness and 8.48g in weight. This sherd may be of Late Iron Age (c.1st centuries BC/AD) or Early Anglo-Saxon (c.5th-6th centuries AD) date but its preservation makes a close attribution to either impossible.
