Pottery, glazed, rim sherd and body sherd. A dull red hard fired fabric with a purple-tinged glaze with a metallic sheen internally and externally; this fabric resembles that described as Cistercian Ware. The rim may be from a cup. Suggested date: Late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval, 1450-1550. These sherds were kindly identified by Sandra Firth and Hazel West of the North Lincolnshire Pottery Research Group.
