An incomplete Modern lead-alloy toy gun (c. 1850-c. 1920 AD).

The stock survives and is sub-triangular in plan, pointed-oval in cross-section and has an open-ended butt. Both sides are similarly decorated with raised scrolling flowers and 'cross-hatching'. Toy guns were popular from the late 17th century and this example probably dates c. 1850-c. 1920.

This object is largely coated with a buff patina. There is a break at the larger end.
35.29 x 16.42 x 8.72mm. Weight: 12.06g.
