A complete Roman circular plate brooch of plain conical form, in very good condition. The brooch has been cast from a high tin content copper alloy (showing grey) and the hinged pin from a different alloy (showing green). The remains of a white metal surface coating survive. The brooch has a central raised conical boss which rises from a saucer. A notched circular ridge lies at the base of the cone. Around the circumference are eight evenly-spaced rounded projections.
This has been noted as an interesting find by the recorder.
