Medieval coin: penny of possibly Richard II (1377-1399) minted in York between 1377 and 1399 AD. North No. 1329b. Heavily clipped. The identification is tentative as the recorded coin has a pellet either side of the neck and a probable pellet on the chest rather than a cross.

Obverse description: Bust facing forwards wearing a crown, with a pellet either side of the neck. The bust is double-struck. There appears to be a symbol on the chest, possibly a pellet, which is at odds with known dies. A cross is what would be expected.
Obverse inscription: The legend has been clipped away.
Reverse description: Long cross with three pellets in each cross. The cross has a quatrefoil in the centre.
