Post Medieval copper alloy double-loop oval buckle with a complete pin. In the centre of the outer edge of each loop is a pair of protruding moulded knops with a indent and incised line between them where the pin rests. The frame is thin and C-shaped in section with a concave back. The strap bar is narrowed and slightly protrudes from the frame with a lobed knop on each end. The pin is a thinning and narrowing strip of copper alloy which loops around the strap bar at the broad end and ends in a sharp point. The buckle measures 35.3mm long, 20.7mm wide, 5.6mm thick including the pin (2.8-1.7mm excluding), and weighs 3.50 grams.
A similar buckle, No 374, is depicted in Whitehead (2003: 61-62) which he dates to c. 1550-1650.
