Cast copper alloy cauldron handle fragment dating from the post-medieval period, that is c. AD1500-1700. Only c. 50% of the handle survive, probably the lower bit which was attached to the body of the vessel. The upper part would have sat at a right angle, touching the rim of the cauldron or vessel just above the shoulder. The vessel was probably a globular cauldron with flaring rim and three or possibly four legs.
