An incomplete dress hook made from copper alloy and dating to the Early Medieval period. The object is an example of Read Class A, Type 2. It is sub circular in plan with one curved edge that tapers towards a break where the hook would have been. There are two perforations on the object, but no other visible decoration. The metal is a mottled green and brown in colour and is very corroded. It weighs 1.4g, measuring 14.00mm in length and 13.9mm in width.
