A complete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a single looped D-shape and is undecorated and has been bent out of shape.
The metal has a mid greenish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 20.8mm long, 11.8mm wide, 2mm thick and weighs 1.7g.
Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead, p.18 and are dated to circa 1250 - 1500.
