A post medieval cast copper alloy decorative strap mount. The mount is openwork and is symmetrical and shows a pair of cupids above a central crown with a rose between them. Below the cupids is a lys and scrolling foliage. On the flat back are the remains of two circular sectioned attachment spikes. The mount measures 33.29mm long, 29.06mm wide and weighs 7.6g.
The mount dates from the mid 16th to 17th centuries.
