A cast copper-alloy bow brooch of Roman date. It is Colchester derivative hinged brooch, the wings and part of the bow are present, the rest is missing due to old breaks. The wings are solid and have a groove between them where the missing pin would have been. They are decorated with two circumferential lines either side of the joint with the bow. The bow is oval in section and is triangular in shape where it joins the wings. Only a small part of it remains and it is not possible to ascertain whether there is any decoration on the bow. It measures 20.33mm in length, 54.04mm in width at the wings, 11.53mm in width at the top of the bow, 6.68mm in thickness and weighs 20.35g.
