Two ceramic vessel fragments; wall sherds of Medieval pottery. The sherds have a black to purple glaze on the outer face. The inclusions are of grit (including quartz), coal, and lots of smooth, rounded (possibly melted) black lumps, particularly on the inner surface (possibly black iron ore) making the surface pimply. The fabric is reduced and light grey, tending to dark orange on the inner face.
