A Roman Period, copper alloy brooch fragment measuring 25.91mm in length, 16.01mm in width and 6.04mm thick. The brooch weighs 2.04g and appears undecorated.
The object is sub rectangular in shape and is plain and very thin. It appears to have been a circlular plate, possibly a back plate?
The reverse of the object contains a copper alloy spring and quite a long fragile pin.
The object is similar to several others from the same site, seeLEIC-27E8D5 and LEIC-279135
