A fragment of a lead alloy artefact, possibly part of a 'shy cock' or other type of toy bird, dating from the post medieval period, AD1500-1700. It is double sided, both sides decorated with a design that appears to represent a spread of tail feathers. It is 16.3mm long, 14.5mm wide and 1.6mm thick. It weighs 1.83gm.The sides of the object look to be complete, but the ends are damaged.
