A post-medieval lead cloth seal from the fustians of Augsburg, sixteenth to early seventh century. The seal is circular and has an incomplete circular tab on the reverse. The obverse is decorated with an ornate letter A with annulet above and ?lis and annular below. The reverse depicts a cride pine-cone.
Similar seals are recorded in Egan, 'Lead Cloth Seals and Related Items in the British Museum', p. 106.
