A sheet copper alloy Post-Medieval hooked mount. It has a trefoil terminal with openwork decoration, tapering to a narrow rectangular bar decorated with tiny knops before it extends into a hook. This bends backwards to form an almost-enclosed loop, from which a ring is suspended. The remains of a rivet fill the perforation at the top of the trefoil, and another can be determined in the centre of the narrow bar, above the hooked terminal. The suspended ring is faceted and flattened, and there are traces of a white metal coating on both sides of the mount.
It measures 36.23mm in length and is 15.24mm in width. The hook is 3.25mm in width and the ring is 12.73mm in diameter and 2.54mm in width. The mount weighs 3.11g.
It is most likely a sword-belt fitting, and a similar hooked mount is noted in Margeson 1993, fig.22 no.259.
