A knapped flint side scraper of probable Neolithic date. The flint also has an apparent burin spall removal at the distal end with a burin point formed, probably for boring or incising. The tool therefore may had a double function as a burin and a scraper. The left lateral edge has been retouched, probably to form a scraping edge. A small portion of pale cream coloured cortex has been retained at the distal end of the dorsal face, probably to allow the flint to be handled comfortably. The proximal end retains the bulb of percussion. The flint is a dark mottled grey in colour. The flint is sub-triangular in section.
