An incomplete cast copper-alloy single-looped medieval buckle with ornate outside edge. The oval frame's expanded outer edge is expanded and has been decorated with three veritcal incisions and two horizontal incisions forming a cross hatch design. The pin bar is offset and narrowed, the pin is missing. The buckle has corroded to a dark-grey colour with some patches of off-white corrosion product. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (1996 page 22)
