An Anglo-Saxon strap-end of Thomas type A. The strap-end is decorated with an incised zoomorphic decoration executed in an angular style, consisting of a crouched quadruped. The attachment end is misisng, as is part of the incised decoration. The terminal is in the form of an animal-head. Facets and incised lines define the ears, eye-brows and nostrils.
