An incomplete wheelspun ceramic vessel rim of post-medieval date: 16th century. The fragment is rectangular in plan with a slightly curved profile and tapers in width from the rim to the worn break where it has broken from the body of the vessel. The fabric is hard and fine with no visible inclusions but numerous ovoid voids. It is a buff colour internally with a lighter orange outer surface.
The rim fragment is 50.1mm long, 28.4mm wide, 14.6mm thick and weighs 13.5g.
