Four flakes of tertiary debitage (from the third / final phase of tool making) of Neolithic date (3500-2100 BC). The flakes are all struck on poor quality flint which varies in coarseness and colour, all being glacial or riverine derived, some possibly being chert rather than flint. None of the waste flakes have been reworked / retouched to form other artefacts such as scrapers. The dorsal faces of some of the flakes show ridges and flake scars, the reverse faces show conchoidal ripples.
The flakes have a bulk weight of 3.66 grams
