Medieval copper alloy two part strap end, 35mm long, 11mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in a fair condition and weighs 3.73grams. The object is rectangular in form and section. It consists of two plates which taper to a rounded base which has a small semi-circular protrusion in the centre of its base. The two plates are held together by a single centrally placed rivet, one near the terminal and one at the upper edge. There is no decoration on either surface. It is similar to fig. 660, page 142 in Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories.
