A corroded cast copper-alloy and silvered three-piece heart-shaped hooked tag of late Medieval to Post Medieval date (1400-1600 AD). This artefact is formed from a triangular flat body with slight rounded edges that create the upper portions of the heart (20.5mm length), and an additional soldered sharp hook (7.8mm length) at the tapering point of the body; this now bends to the left. At the top of the heart are two visible rivet holes containing a single D-shaped in plan, circular section wire rivet. Around the single rivet on the reverse are moderate traces of silvering, whilst a small amount is also preserved on the front at the lower point of the heart. This artefact has a variable green colour from corrosion, with additional traces of red-brown. No precise parallels for this artefact have been found in Read 2008 Hooked-Clasps & Eyes, though the form of the plain heart-shape can be found as a strap slide in Read (2001: 17, ref. 132) which he dates to the early 15th-16th century.
