Roman copper alloy Colchester type bow brooch, 47mm long, 16mm wide and 10mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs4.58grams. It is mostly complete, missing the pin and part of the spring and catch plate. It consists of short open wings, with half a spring present, which sit above a long curved semi-circular sectioned bow. The catch plate is sub-triangular and missing its outer edge and is pierced with a now incomplete circular hole.
