A fragment of a cast copper alloy blade of mid to late Bronze Age date. The surviving fragment is the tip of the blade although the point and edges have now been lost through post-depositional damage. Although clearly diminished in prominence, down the length of the blade, the raised mid-rib is still visible in section; it is notable that the mid rib is not alligned on both faces of the blade. No further decoration has been noted. Due to the incomplete nature of the blade it is not possible to be certain whether the item is a sword, dagger, rapier or some other related weapon. It is also not possible to closely date or categorise the object which is therefore dated broadly as Mid to late Bronze Age, c.1500-800 BC.
