2012 T168 Report on three Post-medieval coins from Dodderhill, Worcestershire These coins could certainly have been in currency together in the mid to late 1640s, since the issues of Elizabeth I and James I show extensive signs of usage. Given this, the absence of other coin loss on the site and the fact that they were found in close proximity, it is probable that they were deposited together. Since they are official English silver coins of the sterling standard, i.e. 92.5% fine metal, they contain more than 10% silver. They are clearly more than 300 years old. They appear, therefore, to fulfil the requirements of the Treasure Act (1996).
