A complete Late Early-Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) to Early Medieval cast copper-alloy harness link (1000-1100 AD).
The fitting is convex at the front and flat at the rear. It has a lozenge-shaped loop at each end with a circular aperture. Each loop has a rounded knop at the sides and one at the terminal end. The bar is 'D'-shaped in cross-section and the central boss is circular in plan and 'D'-shaped in cross-section. On the underside of the boss it is slightly concave.
This fitting is a drab brown colour with some light green corrosion products.
There is a single fleck of gilding on the upper face of the boss.
67.72 x 22.87 x 6.86mm. Weight: 16.05g.
This harness link is similar to one illustrated by David Williams (Williams 2007: 5, fig. 6a).
