A cast copper alloy socketed object, probably a dagger pommel dating to the medieval period. The pommel has a roughly square top and is roughly square in profile; the object has four spiralling extrusions, one on each corner each with a cross cut into the surface. In the centre is a small sunken oblong recess. The object has a twist and is hollow inside and broken off. The closed end measures about 17mm square and is 19.29mm in depth. A similar object is illustrated in Read (2016) - Identifying Metal Artefacts Vol. 1 p93 no. 631.
