A medieval silver penny, London mint. The obverse has a forward facing bust and the legend: EDWAR [---] DNS [---]. The reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each angle and the legend: CIVITAS LONDON.
The coin is very worn, but may be of Edward II and belong to North class 11 (1310-1314). It has been bent into an 'S' shape, suggesting possible reuse as a love token.
