An incomplete copper-alloy finger ring of Medieval (13th to 14th century) date.
The bezel is oval in plan, tapering towards the top, where there is a cell containing a corroded glass paste inset. There are no discernible shoulders, a ridge at the base of the bezel separating it from the much thinner, oval-sectioned hoop, only a small portion of which remains. The ring measures up to 16.2mm wide; the bezel is 9.9mm wide by 7.2mm high. The weight is 3.35g.
