A copper alloy Roman brooch. It is a Colchester derivative double lug type, with the lugs, coil and pin missing. The wing case is semi-cylindrical but the edges are worn, incomplete and corroded. The bow is D-shaped in section with some faceting, and a flat back. There may be some moulding on the upper bow, but again, the surface is worn and corroded. A small part of the catch-plate can be determined at the foot of the brooch. It measures 23.97mm in width across the wings and is 41.66 mm in length. The brooch weighs 9.03g
