A copper alloy sestertius of the emperor Maximinus I (AD 235-8) dating from AD 236-7 (Reece period 11). The obverse depicts a laureate bust draped and cuirassed facing right and is inscribed MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM. The reverse depicts Pax standing left holding a branch and transverse sceptre and is inscribed [PAX AVGVSTI S C]. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. 146, no. 81. BMC VI, p. 235, no 152.
