A Post-medieval silver cufflink consisting of two discs (each 13.3mm in diameter) with downturned edges, joined by an ovoid wire link engaged with a loop soldered to the reverse of each. The front of both discs is decorated in counter-relief with a heart surmounted by a flame and transfixed by a pair of crossed arrows. This device is commonly found on 17th-century cufflinks (S. Thornton in Treasure Annual Report 2005/6, 139 no.615). Cufflinks began to become popular in c.1675.
The cuff link is 17.6mm long and weighs1.60 grams.
