A copper alloy Post- Medieval mount or possible buckle plate. It is incomplete due to old breaks, and has been made from sheet metal. The central area is circular and has a rivet hole at its centre. There are two narrow arms protruding from one side, apparently incomplete, suggesting that the object was folded back at this point, to create a pin-slot or gap for suspension, as with a buckle plate. A rectangular extension on the opposite side terminates with two small triangular projections, with space for a third (now missing due to old breaks). There is a small rivet hole near the centre of this terminal. There are transverse grooves decorating the surface of the object, and obscured by corrosion. The mount measures 29.68mm in length, 13.16mm in width, 1.9mm in thickness and weighs 2.82g.
