Post Medieval cast copper alloy double looped buckle, circa 1550 - 1650 AD. It is oval in plan with two D-shaped loops and oval in cross section. The centre of the outer edge of each loop is expanded into a oval each decorated with circa five incised transverse lines radiating out from the centre of the inner side. The strap bar is recessed from the front and slightly projecting at the back. Slight transverse indents on the front create the impression of knops at either end. The pin is missing but there is iron corrosion on the strap bar which might be the remains of an iron pin. It measures 28.5mm in width, 15.5mm in length and is 4.5mm thick and weighs 3.31 grams.

It is similar to Whitehead (1996:62) no. 373 although that example has only one incised line across the knop on the outer edge.
