A cast copper alloy early post-medieval candle stick. The candle stick has a large, hollow cylindrical cup (to hold the candle), with a slight indent or simple linear decoration around its median and upper circumference. The cup base narrows to a circular section stem which would have fitted into the basal tray. The stem has two moulded collars down its length but no other decoration. Candlesticks of this type date to the 16th Century, c. AD 1530-1570. See Egan (2005) p81.
