LITHIC IMPLEMENT

Unique ID: YORYM-546AA4

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A complete flint leaf shaped lithic of probable Neolithic date (3500-2100 BC), possibly a waste flake with some indication of retouching to the lateral margins. There are four main negative scars on the dorsal surface which create a raised triangular plan toward the proximal end, each of which contain cracking ripples, the distal end terminates in a point. One area of demonstrable cracking ripples are present on the ventral surface from one negative scar, the ventral surface however is predominantly smooth and without large negative scars.

The lithic is light brown with cream inclusions throughout.
