An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval buckle frame dating from about 1100 - 1300. The lipped single oval frame is a D-shaped in plan but the bar is not narrowed nor offset. There is a pin notch on the lip of the frame and a ridge on the bar where the pin would have been attached. It and the plate are now missing. The back of the frame is concave, and the outer edge is angled. The buckle frame has a dark brown patina.
