A sheet copper alloy strap mount dating from the medieval period, AD1350-1450. It consists of two rectangular sheets of copper alloy fastened together by a pair of copper alloy rivets, one in the centre of each end. There is a third, circular piercing between the two rivets that is unoccupied. With the exception of a single, transverse groove across each end of the rectangle, it is undecorated. The mount has a dark green patina. It is 29.2mm long, 15mm wide and 3.9mm thick. It weighs 4.07gm.
